About us
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department of KLNCE is a part of Instrument Society Of India (ISOI) student chapter since 2008. Every year there are more than 100 ISOI members in our department. As a part of student chapter we conduct occasional workshops, lectures, and events. Also, we conduct ISOI student convention every year since 2012. This year is the 6th edition of this convention. The main motto of this convention is to promote instrumentation related fields among budding engineers and make them realize about the importance of instrumentation in today’s emerging engineering fields like IOT, Robotics.
General rules
- A team contains maximum of 2 members (there may be some events which needs individual participants).
- A team can participate in maximum of 3 events.
- Every participant must bring their college ID card.
- Online registration should be done for every team.
- Registration Fee for per head is Rs.100/- (Can be paid in spot registration).
- There is a special 25% concession on registration fee for ISOI members (ISOI membership ID card should be brougt during registration).
- Exciting Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
- Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
- Discipline and decorum must be maintained inside the campus (Teams can be disqualified as disciplinary action in extreme cases).
- Hospitality can be arranged in reasonable price with prior announcement.

Pacution
Anything and everything is possible when an engineer thinks about it. Every science fiction will become reality, if engineers start working towards it, especially with instrumentation engineering. So think differently to make this world different. This is a platform for such unique engineers to present themselves in front of others to make their ideas more viable and win EXCITING Cash awards..

- Abstracts should be submitted before 24th MAR 2017.
- Selected papers will be intimated on 30th March 2017 via mail and also displayed in our Facebook page.
- Papers should be in IEEE format.
- Online registration should be done before participation.

Think and Tinkers
Engineering is not always about formulae and derivations, it is also usage of common sense. This is a platform for you to complete a specific job given to you in a given time period and price. Basically, this is circuit designing event for a given problem (application). You can design it in real time with real components or in virtual simulators (like LABVIEW, MATLAB, Multisim, etc.). Each and every component you use will have a specific rate card. Your final design should be executable and within the cost range given to you.
- A team can contain maximum of 2 members.
- Final design should be executable and should give the desired result.
- Marks will be allocated for the simplicity of your design, cost efficiency, time taken, and accuracy of the final result.
- Online registration should be done before participation.
- Final decision is strictly done by the judges.
- Example problem statement will be given in our Facebook page in a few days.
Quick Rush
This is 100% fun filled platform to express your management and out of box thinking skills. This will have about 5 rounds in different locations. Each location has a task to complete. And when you complete the task successfully, you will receive a clue. On collecting all clues, you should decipher it and complete the whole event. You will be timed for the whole event completion.
- A team can contain maximum of 2 members.
- Marks will be allotted for successful completion of each round and for time taken for the completion of whole event.
- Winners will be selected by adding up all the scores and on overall best performance.
- Online registration should be done before participation.
Surprise Events
We won’t break the surprise for you. There are some fun filled surprises waiting in the convention. Come and enjoy them. Its open for everyone, no registration required.
E-Event
These are series of events conducted online prior to the original convention in our Facebook page. These events include Selfie contest, Dubsmash, Slogan contest, etc. To participate follow our Facebook page keenly and get a chance to win the Lucky Lot.
Lucky Lot
Every participant’s name will be put into the lot. Winners will get their registration fees back and participate the convention free of cost!!
- Name of each & every participant will be in the lot.
- Every time you win an event, your name will be added again.
- Every online event you win, your name will be added again.
- Example: If a team X won 1 event in convention and 1 online event, then names of both participants will be present 3 times in the lot (1 for participation, 1 for winning an event, 2 for wining an online event). So with every win, your probability of wining the Lot increases.
- Two participants will be drawn out of Lucky Lot, and they will be given 100% CASHBACK..
Referral
It is a program in which every participant can win exciting cashbacks. Every participant on registering online will get a referral code through email. They can use this referral code to ask their friends to use it in time of their registration. When another participant uses their referral code, they (the team whose referral code is used) will get a 10% cashback in their registration fees. And if 5 more participants uses the referral code (5+1=6 participant in total) they get another 10% cashback in their registration fees
- Each and every participant will get a unique referral ID.
- The referals are only valid when the participant who used the referral code participates
- The participants with most referrals will get an added advantage of getting their name added in the Luckylot one more time and get a chance to win 100% cashback.
