Roles
:
  • Motivation of students towards on line certification course offered by IIT, Bombay
  • Encouragement of teaching and non-teaching faculty members to update their knowledge through NPTEL, Staff Development Program etc.,
  • Effective Pedagogy training on ICT tools
  • Curriculum enrichment by initiating bridge courses and value added courses
  • Identification and rectification of gaps in curriculum
  • Organizing expert talkthrough Staff Development Forum (SDF)
  • Periodical Teaching-Learning process monitoring (Academic Audit)
  • Training young and inexperienced teachers to carry out their academic responsibilities effectively by organizing Faculty Induction Program
  • Providing quality training programmes to teachers and students to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity  through professional society (ISTE)
  • Organizing Anna university sponsored Faculty development program
  • Promoting Project-based learning by E-yantra registration
  • Reviewing progress in higher studies with the help of staff development committee (SDC)

Successful Graduation
Objective
:
  • To produce  highest percentage of graduation
  • To produce graduates with good academic performance.
  • To produce maximum University rank holders.
  • To produce high academic performance in the University Examinations.
Roles
:
  1. Planning and preparation of Academic Calendar.
  2. Planning and designing of internal tests, analysis in association with EMC, suggestions for improvement.
  3. Analysis of Anna University Examinations, suggestions for improvement.
  4. Academic Performance Index (API) evaluation of faculty.
  5. Student feedback on faculty – review and action taken.
Outcome
:
  1. High percentage of graduation: 85.42 % (4377/5124) - UG & PG
  2. (from April 2013  to April  2018)
  3. Producing University ranks: 256 ranks – UG & PG
  4.  (from April 2013  to April  2017)
