K.L.N. College of Engineering is the first self financing co-education engineering college started in Madurai in the year 1994. It is a linguistic minority institution. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University Chennai. Thiru.K.L.N.Krishnan is the founder president and the college is now under the management of Thiru.K.N.K.Ganesh as president and Thiru.S.V.S.Shivnath as secretary.

The college is situated 11km from madurai city. It is built in an area of 53.8acres. The campus has multi-storeyed buildings with well equipped classrooms, drawing halls, seminar halls, conference hall, library, air conditioned computer centers, staff rooms, student rest rooms. The college has a separate administrative block of 1185sqm,P.G block of 4020sqm for M.B.A and M.C.A department, Mechanical block of 1193sqm,E.E.E /E.C.E block of 1195sqm. An indoor stadium cum auditorium has been built in 2221sqm.A single storeyed block of 1100sqm has been built for canteen facility.

Treated drinking water plant at a cost of Rs.2 lakhs has been installed near the overhead tank. Well-furnished men’s hostel, mess block and canteen block are also inside the campus. The college is a quiet retreat, ideal for concentrated study, away from distractions and disturbance of a large city.
