At K.L.N. College of Engineering, we guide students to refine their character and prepare them to live up their successful life.
To cater the needs of the economically weaker sections of society, in and around Madurai, in the field of technical education, K.L.N. College of Engineering was started in 1994 by munificence of philanthropist and well wishers in Sourashtra community, a linguistic minority in Tamilnadu. The college is sponsored by the committee of eminent industrialists and academicians led by enthusiastic, educationalist and industrialist Amarar Shri. K.L.N. Krishnan. It manifests a rich tradition of quality and value loaded systems of learning, aiming to bring about wholesome transformation of engineers with a well balanced intellectual, moral, social and spiritual outlook. Our College has been approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Trichy. Our institution got certification in ISO 9001:2000 by TUV, Germany.
The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi accredited MECH, EEE, ECE, CSE, IT and MCA Departments. The college campus is situated in a quiet environment about 11Km from Madurai Railway Station and about 7 Km from Madurai Airport.
The college has a Microwave link Internet Facility of 8Mbps with fiber optic cable connecting all Departments. There are 2500 students in the campus with 7 UG and 3 PG Engineering Degree programs, in addition to MBA and MCA courses. The college is having strong association with leading industries like Infosys, IBM, TCS, Keane, Hexaware, Wipro, etc.

Under the grit, grace and charismatic leadership of our beloved Head of Department, Prof N.Lakshmi Narasimman the Computer Science and Engineering Department imparts world class training ,provides state of the art computing facilities and divulges quality education in the field of Computer Science to the students. The Department was started in the year 1997 and is accredited by NBA, AICTE New Delhi. The department is equipped with highly qualified and veteran faculty who constantly encourage our students to strive forward and push them further on the Road to Glory. As with any education institution, students give the department a dynamic character and an active culture towards Computer Science, guided by their faculty. In association with IBM, we have established IBM RATIONAL CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE, the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu. .
